Terms of Service

By accessing our website, submitting a booking request, or using any service provided by Notary Signing with Ease, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

Notary Signing with Ease provides two primary categories of notary services:

• Remote Online Notary (RON): Secure video-based notarizations available to clients located in all 50 US states
• Mobile Notary Services: In-person notarizations at your location, available exclusively within the state of Virginia

We reserve the right to decline any notarization request that does not comply with state law, appears fraudulent, involves incomplete documents, or involves a signer who appears unable to understand what they are signing.

• RON services are subject to the laws of the state where the signer is physically located at the time of the notarization
• You must be located within the United States at the time of the RON session
• You must have a device with a functioning camera and microphone, and a stable internet connection
• Valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID must be presented on camera
• You must successfully complete identity verification, which may include knowledge-based authentication (KBA)
• Documents must be uploaded in advance through our secure platform

• Mobile Notary services are available exclusively within the state of Virginia
• All signers must be physically present at the agreed location at the scheduled time
• All signers must present a valid, unexpired, government-issued photo ID
• Documents must be fully completed with no blank spaces
• Signers must not pre-sign documents — all signatures must be witnessed by the notary in person

If a Mobile Notary appointment cannot be completed due to client non-compliance, a service or travel fee may still apply.

Submitting a booking request does not guarantee an appointment — all appointments are confirmed by us within 2 hours of the request during business hours.

Our service fees vary based on the type of service, number of signatures, and for Mobile Notary, travel distance. Payment is due at the time of service. We accept cash (Mobile only), Zelle, Venmo, CashApp, and major credit/debit cards.

• Cancellations with 24+ hours notice: No charge
• Cancellations within 24 hours: A cancellation fee may apply
• No-shows: Full service or travel fee may be charged

We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service to anyone who is abusive, threatening, or engaging in fraudulent activity. Attempting to deceive our notary during identity verification is a serious offense and may be reported to the appropriate authorities.

• We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or legal sufficiency of any document we notarize
• We do not provide legal advice or document preparation services
• RON services are only valid in states where RON is legally permitted — it is the client's responsibility to confirm RON is accepted for their intended use
• We cannot guarantee acceptance of notarized documents by any court, government agency, or third party

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Notary Signing with Ease shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia. For RON services, additional state laws may apply depending on the state where the signer is located.

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to our website with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
